White Butter Chicken (Safed Murgh Makhan)

Ingredients

Feeds 2:

  • 350gm boneless roast chicken
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • Half inch ginger
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp Greek-style yoghurt (at room temperature)
  • Half cup hot water
  • 3 tbsp single cream
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 4 green cardamoms
  • Quarter nutmeg
  • Salt to taste

Remove any herbs and skin from the chicken and shred it.
Now, grate the ginger and garlic.
Next, bring the butter to medium heat in a sauté pan.
When it’s warm, add the ginger and garlic and sizzle for a few seconds.
Then stir through the shredded chicken.
Then, add the yogurt and the hot water and bring the ingredients to a bubble.
